We regularly carry out fox control works within school grounds due to the health & safetly risks posed by urban foxes.
We prefer to carry this work out during school holidays, however, a lot of our work is carried out in schools & colleges is done during term time.
A copy of our most recent CRB Enhanced Disclosure is available on request as would be a free quotation and method statement.
As with any trapping work, the local Police Control Room is kept up -to-date with our treatments and trapping activities, especially if we need to carry out a dispatch, not forgetting that it is illegal under The Animal Welfare Act 2006 to release trapped foxes elsewhere.
Booking is required in advance as we do get very busy during school holiday's; however, in the event of an emergency, we can carry out trapping during school term, provided that the traps are discreetly and safely placed out of eyes view and that they can be inspected no later than 07.10 Hrs each morning before children are on site.
Co-operation with Site Managers to check the traps each morning and contact us immediately if a fox is trapped is necessary in order that we can make your call an urgent priority.
Although we recommend inprovements to the school perimeter fencing, sometimes it is impossible to determine where the foxes may be entering from.
Most School Site Manager's that ask for help are mainly concerned with the constant removal of fox faeces from the school's playground and pavements as well as damage to plants, folliage or gaining entry to buildings and boiler rooms.
It is your decision and legal right to control and reduce foxes on your premises if you feel they are causing a health and safety hazard or are becoming a nuisance.
We will help and advise you as best as possible and respect your final decision.
